Every Damn Frame is a podcast from three media professionals who work in journalism, film and television production, and games devoted to the art and business of creating a franchise. As we commit ourselves to watching every single entry in a franchise one week at a time, we dissect the ways money and creative influence the evolution of a single successful film into a decades-spanning IP while also having a lot of fun along the way.
I do a majority of the producing and the complete postproduction and distribution. Producing the show has been a lot of fun and a real education in the new tools of podcasting. Sometimes recorded in the same room, sometimes online, and always around the demanding schedules of fulltime industry professionals, I’ve discovered that having a passion for something remains the best way to make stuff.
Of course, everyone has a podcast these days, but working on this show has helped me immensely in terms of building back some better habits around how I watch things. It also reminded me that as much time as I’ve spent in games in my career… I have a passion for making films that I need to express in the future.
